The Yamatai Imperial Navy (山都帝国海軍, Yamatai Teikoku Kaigun) is the naval branch of the Yamataian Armed Forces. Primarily tasked with the naval defence of Yamatai, the Imperial Navy is also responsible for projecting Yamataian military influence across the Escar-Varunan region, and the world. The Imperial Navy is one of the largest maritime warfare forces in the Escar-Varunan region, and maintains control of the nation's sea lanes, patrols territorial waters and projects Yamataian power overseas. It also participates in international peacekeeping and maritime interdiction operations to promote peace and stability across the world. [1]

History

Origin

The Imperial Navy was founded in 1730 through the promulgation of the Matsubara Doctrines, a sweeping reorganisation of the Imperial Army. The naval vessels that belonged to the Imperial Army were organised as a separate branch of the military.
