Kayakoism

From Ordic Encyclopedia

Kayakoism, also known in some circles as Pure Realm Nationalist Thought, was a radical, far-right ideology in Imperialist Yamatai. Today, Kayakoism has largely died out beyond some fringe far-right groups.

Kayakoism is named after Empress Kayako, who developed and promoted the ideology during and after the Sakura Revolution, transforming Yamatai from a semi-theocratic society into a fascist, absolute monarchy. Kayakoism is a form of fascism and showed that ideology's disdain for liberal democracy and the parliamentary system, also incorporating racial politics and extreme nationalism. The central theories of Kayakoism are encapsulated in "three pillars", Empress, People, Empire. The Empress was held to be infallible, a literal living goddess, with a widespread personality cut surrounding her. The people of Yamatai, interpreted as the Yashiman race, was viewed to be superior (based on a notion of 'purity') than other races, and divinely destined to lead the Western Escaric peoples. The Empire was itself viewed as a sacred construct, with its wealth, industry and 'purity' to be spread to other nations and peoples in order to share this prosperity with the rest of Escar.

Due to the view that the Yashiman race itself was sacred, there was a strong desire in the Imperialist government to merge Yamatai and Shirakawa, manifesting as Izoku Kyowa that guided much of Yamataian foreign policy towards Shirakawa during the first half of the 20th century, culminating in the Escar-Varunan War.

Tied inexorably with Michi, the race politics of Kayakoism extended to the concept of the Saishū Kessen, an apocalyptic war mentioned in the Kojiki and interpreted by the Imperialist government to mean a massive final war against Amphia, in which Yamatai had to unite Escar and prepare the continent for the ultimate war against the Ordan races.
