Saramosir (Kannaguru: ポロサラモシㇽ Poro Saramosir, "Great Saramosir", lit. "Great Open Country", Shirakawan Yashiman: 日山国 Nisangohu, lit. "Country of Sunlit Mountains") is one of the constituent Countries of Chisei, occupying the island of Awaji and a region of the Chiseian mainland known as Notenaymosir (the "Southern Territories"). It borders the states of Uraan and Shirakawa to the south, via Notenaymosir. The Hisui inland sea seperates Awaji from the rest of Chisei, while the Tartaric Ocean and the Jade Sea envelop the country to the north.

Saramosir is the second largest country in Chisei, with a population of 33 million. The capital and largest city is Apasiri. While not as populous and economically central as Shirakawa, Saramosir hosts several of Chisei's largest ports and shipyards, as well as as a number of prominent industrial firms. Inaopira, the second largest city, is an internationally famous hub for tech startups.

The state is ceremonially governed by the Prince of the Sun (日王 Hiō or Cupesapanekur), a statutory title held by the heir to the Chiseian crown. In practice the duties of the executive are wholly carried out by the Prime Minister of Saramosir, who is elected by the Grand Assembly of Saramosir, the state legislature.
