The New Chorus Republic is a federal parliamentary republic based in the far-east of the Human Sphere. It has a population of 4 billion inhabitants. The Republic of New Chorus borders the Intermarium Confederacy to its north and the [[Interstellar Union of Independent Republics (FT)]Interstellar Union of Independent Republics] to its south. It has a population of 4 billion people and controls one inhabitable planet and its two revolving moons within the Chorus Solar System.
Chorus was one of the many planets that saw early stages of colonization. It was affected by the Great Purge and the colonists were set back through centuries of societal breakdown, nuclear fallout, and war. In 2486, political entities in Chorus formed a political and economic union called the Union of Chorus. The planet was briefly occupied by the Combined Socialist Democratic Republics during the Eastern War and was made a satellite state until its independence in 2554 in the aftermath of the Second Great War. A minor entity within the Human Sphere, New Chorus has a small but growing diversified economy after centuries of conflict.
History
Colonization and the Great Purge
Although the Chorus Solar System saw successful colonization by multiple countries and private entities since the late 21st century, the Redonian culture became the most dominant in the solar system due to heavy colonization by both the Redonian state and Redon based private enterprises. During the Troubles, in which conflicts were spewing across Ordis along with the dissolution of the Ordic League, various Redonian government and private entities would relocate from Ordis to the New Redon territory in Chorus, as with many other entities from Ordis to Chorus.
During the Great Purge, Chorus was spared from the initial devastation but would be isolated from the greater human sphere due to the disruption of communication. Despite efforts from the Redonian government remnant to establish order, central authority would collapse, creating many decades of a divided planet with average technologies regressing back to the late 20th century.

In 2527, a Vestalisian starship would land in the outskirts of the Republic of Emerish, surprising the locals of the area.
