Orcs
Orcs (High Caraćavi: Orćury) are a race of large, horned humanoids. The average orc has slightly rough skin, usually in the dark grey to reddish brown range depending on ethnic origin and other factors, and stands at around 216 cm/7.1 ft tall.
Male orcs, known as Orćur, are slightly larger than females, known as Orćura, though females typically exhibit much longer horns, which are frequently uneven due to additional growth largely taking place in rapid spurts in late puberty. Even horns are a key part of most Orcish cultural beauty standards.
Orcs are relatively few compared to other races, but have spread widely along the continental trade networks, and are most numerous in their ancestral homelands of the Tsagdan Republics.
Culturally, Orcs are highly diverse, owing both to their distributed populations and their mercantilist history. Major cultural groups - often defined by linguistic and religious barriers - include the Caraćavi (dominant within the northern merchant elite), the Śarorćury (Grey Orcs) of the Southern Frontier, the Beyornitsy (White Orcs) of Beyohrid, and the Skarbniks (Treasurer, or 'Pygmy' Orcs) of the Westrim.
