(Redirected from Second Shiro-Yamataian War)

The Second Shiro-Yamatai War was fought between Chisei and Yamatai, with Chisei and Hinomoto forming an alliance to invade Yamatai. However, the invasion failed and much of the force was decimated by the Kaminami, a major tsunami. This resulted in Hinomoto losing its status and power in the region, becoming a minor power and later a client state of variably Chisei, Yamatai and Tsutikuo at various times.

The Empress at the time, Shizuna, was a teenager and claimed that she had called in the Kaminami with her divine powers. She then personally led an army to the remnants of the invaders still on Yamatai and massacred them all. She is also known as the Bloody Empress. From this point on, the Empress began to be viewed as a divine figure capable of miracles and with godly powers, laying the groundwork for the era of Empress Kayako. However she was still not a proper ruling figure.
