The Royal Air Force (治世の王立空軍 Chisei no Ōryū Kūgun) is the primary air warfare branch of the Royal Chiseian Armed Forces. Formed on 5 January 1917, it is the oldest independent airforce in the world. Since its formation, the Ōkūgun has played a significant role in Chiseian military history. In particular, it played a large part in the Second Escar-Varunan War, where it fought it's most famous campaign, the Battle of Chisei.
The Ōkūgun's main mission is the protection of the airspace of Chisei and it's overseas territories, but it also serves as a means of projecting Chiseian power abroad, in particular in support of Ordic League peacekeeping and HECO coalition activities.
As of 2018, the Ōkūgun has an estimated 127,821 personnel, and operates 1,380 aircraft.

Organisation
budget for whole armed forces: 194177607302 usd
- Naval Fighters -- 108 (9 x 12)
- Deployed Units -- 72 (6x12)
- Facing Arshavat -- 144 (12x12)
- Home Front -- 240 (20x12)
Total of 564 Fighters, and 47 Squadrons.
- 9x Squadrons (36x aircraft) would be naval F-16s, to be eventually replaced by F-35Cs (?)
- 16x Squadrons (192x aircraft) might be F-16s, to be replaced by F-35As.
- 10x Squadrons (120x aircraft) might be F-15Es, which are A2G modified F-15s.
- 12x Squadrons (144x aircraft) might be F-15s.
- In general the reason for the suggested numbers of fighters is to threefold:
- there's enough orders of each fighter to lower the unit cost.
- there's enough of each so that can be deployed simultaneously in multiple areas without crimping on availability
- there's enough for some level of attrition.
The F-16s are the basic workhorses, so should be cheaper. They can do pretty much any role, but are best at doing unescorted A2G missions, so perfect for fucking over the Gaangster advances without being vulnerable to swarms of MiGs.
The F-15Es are there to provide heavier ordnance, while also remaining good at aerial superiority, so they're mostly on the Arshavat front + held in reserve (but the intention to be used for that front). You may also occasionally want them on power projection.
The F-15s are aerial combat only, so you should keep most back in Chisei (and maybe a small force on the Arshavat border). They're the ones who would intercept bombers, incursions and provided regular control of airspace. They're also the best you have unless you got F-22s, so should be kept away from the border.
