The Yamatai Strategic Missile Force (山都帝国戦略誘導隊) is the strategic missile branch of the Yamataian Armed Forces. The Strategic Missile Force controls the nation's arsenal of land-based ballistic missiles, including both nuclear and conventional weapons. Established on 1 July 1999, the unit was formed from the Yamatai Imperial Army's 17th Artillery Division, which previously controlled the land-based ballistic missiles. The Strategic Missile Force is under the direct command of the General Department of National Defence.
Yamatai is estimated to be in possess of 260 nuclear warheads, with an unknown number of them active and ready to deploy. The Strategic Missile Force comprises approximately 100,000 personnel in six ballistic missile brigades, which are independently deployed in different military regions throughout the country. Estimates suggest that Yamatai has 1,833 ballistic missiles and 350 cruise missiles in its arsenal. Sea-based nuclear missiles stationed on the Yamatai Imperial Navy's ballistic missile submarines are not under the control of the Strategic Missile Force.
