Toyama Yujirō (富山 勇二郎) is a Yamataian Marshal-General who is the current commander of the Yamatai Imperial Army, serving as the Army's representative on the General Department of National Defence's Staff Council.

Biography

Toyama Yujirō was born and raised in Yūki, Nagato Province. He attended the Imperial Yamatai Military Academy, graduating in 1977 with a degree in psychology. He then joined the Yamatai Imperial Army, serving in a number of command and staff positions. Toyama first served as a tank platoon commander in the 40th Armoured Regiment, seeing action during the Hinomoto Insurrection. By 1991, Toyama had been promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel and was in command of the 22nd Armoured Battalion.

In 1998, Toyama was promoted to Colonel and in 1999 took command of the 20th Armoured Regiment. Colonel Toyama later became Commanding Officer Tank Training Institute in 2004, also promoting to Major-General in 2004. Toyama was later promoted to Lieutenant-General in 2008, taking command of the 3rd Army Group. During his command of the 3rd Army Group, elements of the 3rd Army Group were deployed to Pulau Todak during Operation Liberty's Spear both as front line combat units and as post-war pacification efforts. Toyama himself visited Pulau Todak on 27 June 2012.

Following the Todak War, Toyama was promoted to General in 2012 and assumed command of the Imperial Army Special Warfare Command.

In 2016, Toyama was promoted to Marshal-General and became the Commander of the Imperial Army, replacing outgoing Marshal-General Sugimoto Hiro.
